SCIENCE!

You and I share recent common ancestors with chimpanzees.  We share more distant common ancestors with monkeys.  We share still more distance common ancestors with lions, crocodiles, octopi and palm trees.

Our task for the next few weeks to wrap our heads around this startling truth.

There will be many things in this video that you will scratch your head at in confusion.  Darwin?  Who is that guy?  What did he do?  What is natural selection?

Hopefully, we will begin to understand why the 'secrets of evolution are Time and Death.'

We will examine "the unbroken thread that stretches from those first cells, to us."

In these few weeks, we will work to understand how and why organisms change over time.

What are some questions you have surrounding this complex but fundamental issue?

I have three questions is charles Darwin that went looking for some bird and while he was searching
He discovered human evolution.my second question is what is the thread that remains unbroken from the first animals to us. And my third question is what is the natural selection.

What is a multitude?
Who is Charles Darwin and what did he discover?

I have 2 questions,

First: So does that mean all living things are related and it all leads down to one thing that we all evolved from?

Second:How big is the "tree" of life now or is it all broken up into different sections of different forms?

Question 1: How often have humans evolved?

Question 2: Are we still evolving?

Question 3: What causes things to evolve?

I have a fairly large question; in the video, it said, 'Complex chemical molecules began to come together.' Then where did the complex chemical molecules come from? What was Charles Darwin's great insight? What does it mean by the secret to evolution is time and depth? Specifically the depth part. What does it mean by every cell is a triumph of natural selection?

1: How many types of animals are there in the tree of which are named?

2: What was Charles Darwin biggest discovery.

I have a few questions...

1. What is our earliest ancestor?

2. How many years does it take to have natural selection happen?
