I think the bald Eagle should be protected because I lived in the U.S and is our symbol.
They are killed by pollutants and only 400 mating pairs survived. Bald eagles only lay 2 eggs in every mating pair. I think they should all be protected because if one species dies off, then a part of our world dies off as well. You don't know what the consequences will be for our world.
Just because I'm me, I think that all the animals deserve immediate protection. It is really unfair that they should be wiped out while we sit back and watch. the species that I think deserve the FIRST immediate protection are:
The Furbish Lousewort deserves some immediate protection because it was one considered extinct. Who knows what use it could be?
The Desert Tortoise might not deed so much protection, but people should relocate them. Why wipe out a species when you can move them. Also I love tortoises.
The Fluvial Arctic Grayling might not be top of my list of animals to be protected. I just didn't like the way that rude reporter spoke about him. I bet if he was a Fluvial Arctic Grayling, he would want to be protected, too.
The Polar Bear deserves to be protected. After, all it is our fault that it is endangered. All this fuel consumption isn't very good in Polar Bear land.
I think the Mexican Grey Wolf deserved some help as well, because if there enough food to eat in their habitat, they wouldn't need to come and steal food.
I do not think the Bald Eagle or the Snail Darter (what an oxymoron!) deserve protection, because one, they are, to me, unimportant (sorry Sam R!) and on the link it said that they are no longer on the endangered species list.
I did not put the Ivory - Billed Woodpecker on the list because it seems that people are already working on protecting them. Or they are extinct.
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. The Mexican Spotted Owl was not put on my list because it seems like people are already trying to help it.
I totaly agree with hugo all animals have the rite to live pepeople are free why cant animals be free.
I think that all animals should be saved because all animal are important and do there roll in environments!I think all species of animals should live and humans should try to stop extinction for all animals equally, but i think that if a species only has one or two babies compared to other animals that might have more, they should be help first ( the Bald Eagle as Sam said.)

I think that as everyone has said all things wether alive or solid such as rock, minerals and fossil fuel. They all have the right to be left alive or on earth or even just left alone for fossil fuels and others. If any animal that was an important part of the food chain or eco system will mess it up. It will affect all the world in the largest scale ever because all animals keep other animals a amount that is not tons like just right. That is my opinion all being have the right to not be disturbed to left alone in their environment.

I think all the animals and plant need protection because even if it is not completely obvious all animals have a roll in keeping the balance of ecosystems. All of the predatory animals need protection because without all the predators eating the animals and keeping them in a balance the species of animals that used to be eaten will start to over run the territory and eat all the plants/animals that they used to prey on, so that the species that was preyed on will die. It is important for preyed on animals to be protected because if all the prey gets eaten then the animals that eat them will eventually die off because there is no more food.
